Roxas Boulevard - Malate

manila.jpg

I went to DFA last month to renew my Passport ( at last i’m about to use it for the 1st time )…afterwards i decided to take a walk…

A walk that would take me to Roxas Blvd. overlooking Manila Bay, unto the Manila Yacht Club where many yachts and small boats are neatly docked, i took pictures of it of course…i wonder how much are those yachts?

Along the way i passed by a group of Korean tourists along baywalk, they were walking backwards, probably they want to face the sunlight..

Then my feet took me to Luneta Park, it’s ironic that Filipinos abroad would go visit a park named after an obscured Canadian or Italian martyr, but wouldn’t bother to visit their own national hero’s park.

My walk-a-rama concluded in Intramuros, the place could be much better if only the Government has preserved it…now the place is a mess, there’s houses inside, carinderias..etc…
I wanna go to Escolta to take pictures of old houses and buildings but it started to rain and my feet is starting to ache…well i consider this as a practice, hopefully i can do this on my very first trip out of the country, which i am excited about!…

I love my country…Manila is different in its own way, its a jungle yet there’s something about it…or maybe i’m just biased because I grew up in this place?…
