Day One

City Immersion

There's more to Puerto Princesa than just a pit stop to the Underground River
Morning Arrive in Puerto Princesa. Check-in and drop bags to begin a slow-paced introduction to the island.
Afternoon Explore Plaza Cuartel and the Immaculate Conception Cathedral. End the day with a Baywalk sunset walk and pasalubong shopping.
Evening Return to Puerto Princesa city center for dinner. Top choice on where to Stay: The Dome Hotel

Day Two

The Subterranean

Sabang Mangrove Forest
Morning Travel to Sabang for the Underground River boat and cave tour, a protected UNESCO Heritage site.
Afternoon Lunch in Sabang Beach. Optional Mangrove Forest paddle boat tour or the jungle trail zipline.
Sunset Watch the fireflies at Iwahig River.

Day Three

Cradle of History

From Sibika at Kultura to actuality. Explore one of the Tabon Caves
Daytime Travel south to Quezon. Enjoy island hopping at Sidanao and Tataran Island.
Late Afternoon Visit the Tabon Caves archaeological site and museum. Overnight at Pandora Glamping near Tumarbong Falls.

Day Four

Nature Reset

Recharge here for a day.
Daytime A slow morning at Tumarbong Falls. Swimming, nature photography, and a long lunch at Café Atreyu.

Day Five

Coastal Culture

Culandanum weavers
Morning Transfer to Aborlan. Visit Apurawan Beach, dip at Tangod Falls, and drop by Ethnos Farm or Rooted Farm Coffee.
Afternoon Meet volunteers at Blessie’s Cove and discover Culandanum handicrafts. Late lunch at Green Mango Guest House. Stay at Surya Beach Resort.

Day Six

The Deep South

Meet lola Talmala and the other Jama Mapun banig weavers
Morning Head to Brooke's Point to refresh at Sabsaban Falls.
Afternoon Visit the Jamma Mapun weavers in Bataraza for a cultural exchange and handicraft shopping.

Day Seven

Balabac Frontier

Full Day Boat expedition to Balabac Island. Navigate sandbars, snorkeling spots, and remote, undeveloped islands.

Day Eight & Nine

The Return

Day Eight Boat back to mainland and long land travel back to Puerto Princesa City for a final night of rest.
Day Nine Free morning for coffee or last-minute shopping before your flight departure.

Travel Notes

Distances: Southern Palawan is vast. Expect 3–5 hours between Puerto Princesa and Quezon, and 4–6 hours from Quezon to Brooke’s Point.

Weather: Balabac is weather-dependent. Rough seas can delay boat trips; always maintain a flexible mindset.

Pacing: This itinerary is exploratory. For a sustainable pace, add a rest day before the Balabac expedition.
