The Farm at Carpenter Hill, South Cotabato

One of the places we visited during the SoccSarGen Experience Tour II was this place called "The Farm".  No, this is not one of those secret place where scientists do special studies on humans trying to develop a powerful, lean mean killing machine called "Universal Soldier". This Farm is a tranquil surrounding encompassing a garden resort, restaurant, convention center, park and an aviary.

"The Farm" spreads over a 12 hectare property beside the National Highway in Koronadal, South Cotabato and has since become a favorite of visitors looking to unwind and enjoy an atmosphere and an environment that closely resembles a secluded nature spot.

We were fortunate enough to be invited into this place and was served with mouth watering breakfast feast consisting of vegetable omelette, fish, beef something - (I don't know what its called but rolls smoothly in my mouth), salad and fresh fruits.

After breakfast we walked around the spacious farm and took a peek at the different cottages sprawled around the place. They were Japanese themed villas and other Zen inspired rooms that provides a rich atmosphere of soul-full existence once you're there.

Bunched in a myriad of Earth colors around were an abundance of tall trees, flowers and shrubs and the chirping sounds of the birds and other butterflies hopping from one petal to another delights the sense of hearing while in the midst of a forest-version concert.

Rustic outdoor setting surrounds spacious function halls where people can hold conventions and even wedding receptions. While I was walking around I also saw small man made ponds that adds up to the nature friendly theme of the place. Over-all, the Farm suits fine in a place filled with nature wonders. It is a good stop-over place or even a place to stay when going to places such as Lake Sebu and General Santos City.

The Farm is located exactly at National Highway, Brgy Carpenter Hill, City of Koronadal, South Cotabato, Philippines. Tel no. (083) 228-1888, Telefax no. (083) 228-9010, Mobile no. 09228489098

"The farm" may have taken inspiration from Japanese architecture. I like how their food has a mix of bright colors, it really makes you drool a little pre-meal.
