Exploring Poblacion in a Sober Mood | Makati

July 01, 2019

Despite witnessing Poblacion's transformation from a seedy quarter to an exciting neighborhood, I mostly visited to get drunk and dine with friends. So when I heard that Meaningful Travels PH was organizing a Poblacion Makati Discovery Tour, I jumped at the chance to discover the neighborhood's other hidden gems without the constraints of inebriation.

Ann Marie Cunanan: Spreading the Credo of Meaningful Travels

June 21, 2017

When I first met Ann Marie Cunanan more than a year ago, she took me inside Fort Bonifacio for a bit of an afternoon walk at the camp’s oval field. Mirroring our hurried pace around the field, are the conversation we shared which she commandeered into the topic of finding one’s role in life. Caught in an animated discussion with her throughout the few rounds we had circling the oval field, I have learned heaps of fascinating things about her which includes her voluntary departure from a high-paying corporate job –to pursue a social enterprise Master’s course in Australia. Cunanan is passionate about working with communities.

A ‘Meaningful Travel’ to the Highlands of Barlig, Mountain Province

By Marky Ramone Go • April 2017

“Happiness and kindness is something if you give it away—then it comes right back to you,” the song reverberates harmoniously inside the classroom as the pupils of Ogo-og Elementary School sing in unison. A few minutes more and our Meaningful Travels PH group will be distributing the school-supply kits to each one of them. Everywhere, wide smiles are on display as the little ones happily goof around with each other, unable to contain their pure excitement.
