2 Days of Sand(y) at Malapascua Island

April 13, 2011

Last weekend I made a trip to Malapascua with my friend Sandy. It was a spontaneous trip that came to fruition only after a few nonsense chatting over what to do on a weekend. I was able to find cheap tickets from Cebu Pacific last week and hurriedly penciled out the last weekend for this whirlwind incursion north of the province of Cebu.

Capones Island Lighthouse | Zambales

April 13, 2011

I've been to Capones island four times already and my first published travel article was a narrative about my earlier trip here. Hiking to the lighthouse had us taking the longer route since our temperamental boatman does not like the idea of docking near the lighthouse. It didn't mattered though, as it was still a fairly easy hike of around 45 minutes coming from the back of Capones facing the Pundaquit shoreline.

Mystical, Maniacal Reefer Madness at Apo Reef

April 04, 2011

One of the awesome things that traveling to a place like Apo Reef provides me, is the chance to remain in one place without worrying about moving to the next destination. It's about getting lost in the moment relaxing under the sun. Just what a convict with time in his hand would do but still enjoy  boundless freedom, as far as the journey that brought us here. Cap it off with humming along tp Weezer's "Island in the Sun" while lying on the beach getting a tan.
