The Redwoods of Northern California
You owe it to yourself to spend
a week camping among the Redwoods of northern California. Don’t aim for the
ones around San Francisco, they’re always booked out. Instead, go north, right
past Eureka, California.
About an hour’s drive north is
a free camping area. At the Prairie Creek Visitor Center, approximately
fifty-six miles north of Eureka, you’ll find a flat plain that goes to several
trails leading into the redwoods. Some go right to the ocean.
Sequoia National Park, Eastern California
East of Fresno in the mountains
is Sequoia National Park, which has massive Sequoia trees that stretch deep
into the sky but live in a climate that becomes hot and cold with the seasons.
You’ll seldom if ever see redwoods covered in snow, but the sequoias are a
different story.
Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming
Yellowstone National Park is
primarily in Wyoming but has areas in Idaho and Montana as well. It’s one of
the country’s most beautiful regions; full of buffalo, moose, deer, bear,
wolves, geysers, and much more.
Varying Areas of the Grand Canyon
Where do you go to fully
experience the Grand Canyon? That’s hard to say. It’s a big canyon with many
different areas that are commonly explored. You’ve got to see it to believe it,

Montana’s Own Glacier National Park
Glacier National Park bleeds
into Canada and has some of the most breathtaking sights in the country. It’s a
huge park full of Grizzlies, hiking, dining, lodging, intrigue, and more. If

The Alien Landscapes of Moab, Utah
On the eastern side of Utah are
some astonishing locales. Moab is south and west of Grand Junction, Colorado,
and represents one of the most popular RV destinations in the continental U.S.
Massive rocks in alien shapes along sheer cliffs make an unforgettable
landscape primed for adventure.
Pristine Beaches Along with the Florida Keys
The Florida Keys are a stretch of
islands that extend south from Florida and are connected by a highway. They’ve
got sunshine, tropical climate, and pristine beaches. Scuba diving is abundant,
but be careful—you may never want to leave.
River’s Edge RV Park Of Fairbanks, Alaska
River’s Edge RV Park is in the
middle of Alaska, perhaps one of the most remote parks—if not the most Remote
Park— in the country. You’ve got to drive through Canada all the way to Alaska
and be sure to bring extra gasoline with you because you’re going to need it.
Plan this one out carefully, but the rewards make the trek worth every mile.
Acadia National Park in Maine
Maine, the northeastern part of
the United States, has history, fishing, beauty, and remoteness. Plenty of
natural areas can be found in Maine, and few visit the area, making this a
getaway almost as remote as Alaska.
Mount Rainier National Park in Washington
Mount Rainier is in rainy
Washington, but the peak cuts right through the clouds. You might want to have
a little lighting to help keep your RV feeling cozy during the moist nights.
There are LEDs like those of Boogey Lights that will do the trick—these would work well during the long nights
of Alaska as well.
