Adventure plays out like a series of rock 'n' roll tunes on this part of Ilocos Sur. Iggy Pop’s Lust for Life could very well be blasting in your head once you sign up for the day’s first undertaking. Taking advantage of the varying rudiments of our planet—water, wind, earth, and fire—and incorporating them with various thrilling activities and a great outdoor vibe, a one-stop adventure hub is born. Situated at the foot of the rolling slopes and the beautiful coastline of Narvacan in Ilocos Sur, NOAH (Narvacan Outdoor Adventure Hub) dishes a magnificent landscape that provides the perfect setting for a number of great outdoor exploits.
Adventure N' Rolla at NOAH Narvacan
Feel nature’s rush and revel in the different kind of high it produces here at NOAH. Just make absolutely sure to leave all your daily inhibitions and fear of challenging the Earth’s elements far behind.
1. Paragliding Over the Coast
Like a natural watchtower standing guard over the picturesque seas of Ilocos Sur, the Bantay Abot hill presents the ideal spot to safely take off and paraglide over the scenic, rugged landscape of Narvacan. Thanks to the surrounding three-kilometer stretch of Sulvec Beach, the steady wind breezing from the ocean wraps around the hill perfectly—most especially during mid-day to late afternoon—creating a flawless condition to glide effortlessly over the sky and enjoy a winging experience you'll always remember.
Note: There are several dedicated wind windows every day to fly, and the in-house paragliding specialists consult highly accurate wind and weather forecasts throughout the day. Tandem paragliding costs P2,500.
2. Wind Surfing, Hobie Cat Sailing & Kite Surfing
The strong gust at Sulvec Beach blows seamlessly and consistently, making it the perfect natural condition to confidently give windsurfing, Hobie Cat sailing, and kite surfing a try. A brand new level of stoke is achieved after one experiences successfully sashaying over the ocean waters in a polished manner by properly teaming up with the bounteous coastal wind.
Cost: Windsurfing activity + lessons (6 hours) will cost P2,500. It is P800 for Hobie Cat sailing with a pilot and beginner class, while a dedicated windsurfing board rental is pegged at P800.
3. Scaling the Via Ferrata Wall
Flirt directly with verticality as you bravely scale the very first full-scale Via Ferrata climbing route in the Philippines. Known globally as the “Iron Way” because it necessitates the use of heavy steel cables and iron rungs firmly planted along the sheer rock walls—which climbers use to securely clip themselves—the Via Ferrata wall of Narvacan takes you on a scrambling, highly challenging 250-meter course designed to provide a non-stop adrenaline rush.
Despite passing through a highly intimidating 100-foot vertical section of the route, absolutely no prior climbing experience is required, and the only mandatory requirement is a strong desire for adventure.
Cost: The whole Via Ferrata experience will cost you P800, which includes the Tyrolean traverse and the 520-meter zipline ride safely going back down to camp.
4. Off-Road Buggy Driving
Get your Mad Max game face on as you completely unleash your wild driving skills over the natural sand dunes of the long coastline of Narvacan. Spin, buckle, and ride aggressively over the humps, and smoothly circle the sharp turns of the rugged buggy trail of NOAH, as you proudly step on the gas and satisfy your ultimate need for speed.
Cost: P2,500 per Buggy vehicle (good for up to 5 persons).
5. A One-Stop Adventure Haven
To perfectly cap off all your Earthly adventures, grab a refreshing shower and dine comfortably at the ARKO Restaurant. Enjoy good local food and ice-cold drinks as you chill out with your friends while enthusiastically talking about all the exciting things you’ve conquered during the day. NOAH definitely boasts of a premier one-stop adventure haven where one not only connects with raw nature but also experiences the absolute best it can offer.
Campsite fee: P150 per person (if you bring your own tent).
