Do You Wanna Make Tea at the BBC: Bahay Bakasyunan sa Camiguin

In my case can I just drink tea here for a few mornings while I sat by the pool and stare out at the sea? Such was the cozy environment of Bahay Bakasyunan sa Camiguin and it's a good thing Cebu Pacific had us accommodated here during the Blogger's Tour of Camiguin. The last time I visited Camiguin was in 2010 and we just rode a jeepney across the island for the whole day. This time, I was able to stretch my tired legs while having a calming massage at its in-house Cabana spa after a long day of exploring the island. BBC is made up of mostly tropical materials like bamboo, helping it retain that island feel. I noticed also how the post-modern interiors meshes well with local architectural designs and the location facing the calm waters of Bohol Sea, makes this a fine secluded base for those wanting privacy.

After our activity during the first day, the 'digital nomads' of the group: Lois, Ferdz and James just hanged out by the bar near the pool and worked on their laptops while I took a quick nap at the hammock, falling asleep at the sound of the waves and breezing wind. You could walk around barefoot and rub your feet at the well maintained lawn grass or sweat it out at the gym. It is one of those place that registers on my mind as one of the places to stay next time I visit Camiguin with a girlfriend yey.

The cottages were inspired by the "Bahay Kubo" and reintroduces it through a sturdier structure with basic amenities like a hot shower, an AC, work desk and satellite TV. The high ceilings of each cottages creates a more spacious room and therefore one doesn't feel cramped up inside. A veranda on each native cottages provides ample place for group of friends to hang out and adds to the overall satisfying ambiance of the place. Too bad we only stayed here for a couple of nights, but glad at the same time to see such well-thought off and planned resort that showcases local architecture that balances with the environment of the island.
