The Best Places to Vacation On The East Coast

Aside from the hustle and bustle that New York City has to offer, there are many other places on the East Coast that are perfect vacation spots. For deserted, white sand beaches, to mountainous cities with trails that go for miles, the options are endless. With so many wonderful places to see and experience it is hard to choose where to visit. But don’t fret, that is where we come in. We love exploring and finding the best nooks and cranines to visit. So here are a few of our favorite places to visit on the Southern East Coast.

North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

While Myrtle Beach is quite popular, often people tend to forget the hidden gem that is North Myrtle Beach. With a much slower pace environment, less toursit attractions, and more breweries, shopping experiences, and state of the art golf courses. There is plenty to do while maintaining the serene, relaxing environment.  It is one of our favorite vacation spots as it offers direct access to the Atlantic Ocean and the Intacoastal Waterway, for a nice day on the water. Choose from charter boats or rent your own pontoon and take off exploring for the day. You won’t regret it.

St. Simons Island, Georgia

A beautiful island located off the coast of Georgia, this barrier island is the perfect place to disconnect from the world. It is one of four barrier islands off the coast including Little St. Simons Island, Jekyll Island, and Sea Island.

There is plenty to do here like riding horses on the beach, shelling and much more. You will feel like you are in a movie scene walking up and down the breathtaking beaches. While flying to an island out of the country may be a bit overbudgjet. This gives you all the benefits and feelings of those islands, but you don’t need a passport to get here.

Palm Beach, Florida

Much like St. Simons Island, Palm Beach is separated from the mainland by Lake Worth Lagoon. Boutiques, galleries, restaurants and more, line the Worth Avenue creating an upscale feel. You can visit museums, tour the Gilded Age Mansion and learn about the rich history of the town.  Not to mention the beautiful beaches and views that the town has to offer. Once you visit, you won’t want to return home. THe white sand beaches will pull you in for the most relaxing day you have ever had.

Jupiter, Florida

Right above Palm Beach sits another one of our favorites, Jupiter. It is known for its pristine golf courses, beachfront condos, and impeccable blue waters. Each community in Jupiter has something different to offer. So if youre interested in staying by your vacation rental and not venturing out to the scorching sun everyday, there will be plenty to entertain you.  Many of these communities are equine-friendly, so get your fix of horses for a while. Explore the area's lighthouse, or go for a sunset stroll on the beach, you will love every second of it.

Whether you are travelling with kids, a family, alone, or just on a couples retreat, Anna Maria Island is the perfect Island for you. The stunning blue water beaches will make you feel as if you have left the country for the caribbean. Picture yourself lying on the white powder sand watching dolphins play in the waves just feet ahead of you.If you are looking for a warm getaway, especially during the winter, you don’t want to miss out. Bring the whole family for a day of dolphin watching, or enjoy some R&R on the beach alone. You will feel right at home as soon as you step onto the island.

No matter where you decide to go, we know you will have an amazing time. Just remember to sit back, relax, and take a minute for yourself. It is important to just be present and enjoy the space around you whether it is new or old. Maybe one day you can even venture out west. You may fall in love. Stay safe, and we hope to see you soon on one of our favorite islands.
